Coke Coke is a high-carbon-content substance produced through the dry distillation of coal (coking coal) at high temperatures of 1,000°C or higher to remove coal gas, pitch, and other byproducts. It is mainly used as a fuel or reducing agent for blast furnaces in steelworks but has a wide range of uses in steel-manufacturing-related fields and other fields as a fuel or in refining.

Anthracite This is the highest rank of coal. Uses of anthracite vary depending on its grain size; anthracite with fine grains is used as fuel or in sintering furnaces that sinter iron ore fines into lumps, uniform-sized grains of which are used as an alternative to coke in lime firing.

Carburizing Materials These mainly comprise coke or anthracite that is mechanically stabilized, dried, or processed into briquettes in accordance with customer needs.

Dolomite Comprising mainly calcium carbonate (CaCo3) and magnesium carbonate (MgCO3), dolomite is used as a secondary steel material for desulfurization, etc.

Calcined Anthracite This high-carbon-content product is produced by heat-treating anthracite to stabilize volatile components. Its main use is as a carburizing material in steel manufacturing. Calcined anthracite is produced mainly in China, and various grain sizes are used: 3?8 mm, 10?30 mm, etc.

Coke Breeze Coke breeze is finely grained coal coke that has been dried. It is used mainly as injection carbon in electric furnaces. In addition to accelerating scrap melting, coke breeze creates a slag membrane, improving the electric power consumption rate and thereby playing a useful role in extending furnace wall longevity.

Artificial Graphite Electrodes Artificial graphite electrodes are used in electric steel furnaces for melting scrap and refining. Comprising mainly needle coke, electrodes that are highly resistant to high temperatures and thermal shocks, and that conduct electricity easily are produced in an approx. five-month process of kneading raw materials → extrusion molding → first firing → pitch impregnation → second firing → graphitization → processing → inspection.

Needle Coke Needle coke is used as a raw material in the production of artificial graphite electrodes and other products. Coal tar is distilled, and the pitch produced is then purified, after which it undergoes coking and calcination processes to produce a product that is highly pure and easily graphitizable with low electricity resistance and a small thermal expansion coefficient.

Cored Wire Used by steel manufacturers, cored wire comprises various ferroalloys encased in wire.

Blades Shear blades are used mainly by steelmakers to cut manufactured products into prescribed uniform lengths. In accordance with their use, we provide hard and durable blade products that fulfill customer needs. We also handle crushing machine blades used by not only steelmakers but also recycling/waste processing companies, creating a lineup that can be supplied to a wide range of industries.

Secondary Steel Materials We sell secondary materials for use in steel manufacturing, including quicklime and heat resistance materials.

Scrap We sell ferrous and non-ferrous scrap both domestically and to Southeast Asia.

Ferroalloys Ferroalloys are used in the steel manufacturing process for final component adjustment, such as deoxidation or desulfurization, as well as special components added during the manufacturing process to produce steel with various properties.

Industrial Waste Processing We commission cement manufacturers to recycle paper sludge, incineration ash, steel slag, and other industrial waste.

Used Paper We supply domestic and international manufacturers with newspaper, magazine, cardboard, and other used paper as paper manufacturing materials.

Recycled Materials We develop and supply recycled materials for use in steel manufacturing, including heat insulation materials, as well as alternative fuels.

Activated Carbon Activated carbon is used in the absorption removal of small foreign bodies in filtration plants. We are also establishing a scheme for recycling used activated carbon as a substitute fuel for coal and as a carburizing material.

Industrial Chemicals We sell industrial inorganic chemicals centered mainly on caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, and sodium hypochlorite.

Coal Ash We sell coal ash to cement-related industries (secondary product manufacturers).

Natural Gypsum We import natural gypsum from Thailand, supplying it to cement manufacturers as a raw material.

Urea There are large granular urea products and small granular urea products. The large granular products are used mainly for agriculture fertilizer. The small granular products are mainly for industrial use. The small granular urea is effective for removing NOx contained in emissions.

PKS (Palm Karnel Shell) We sell PKS (palm kernel shells), a biomass fuel, to power generation companies.

Wood Pellets Wood pellets comprise the sawdust or wood shavings generated in the hardwood production process that have been compressed into solid fuel pellets. As an organically derived biomass fuel, wood pellets are used as fuel by biomass power stations.
